I have a couple new rod and reels (baitcasters) that I have yet put line on. What would your choice of Flourocarbon be and why? Or would you go Mono? I will probualy go 10lb. on one and 14lb. on another. Thanks Joe

You will get many different responses to this question for it has been discussed many times before. You can look up old topics and see all the other responses but mine stays the same. Bass Pro XPS Flourocarbon on everything except my topwater rod which is Bass Pro Excel Mono. Love both of them for their castability and durability. Opinions will vary and you will get a bunch of them on this topic.
Right on target Elwood....It's amazing on how many opinions there are on lines and they are all basically right. I like BPS Excel mono for 90% of my baitcasters just because it fits my style of fishing and tackle. I have braid on my c-rig rod and spinning rod but that's it. Hard to beat BPS line when considering cost and quality.
The Bass pro mono is all I have used the last 2 years and I liked it but thought about trying a flouro this year. Thanks and I did understand I would get alot of mixed opinons but was going to see what the most common brand was.
seaguar and pline is whats on my reals
tried the new halo. I did cost me 2 good fish at cedar creek. love pline hate the halo
I have gone to all Seaguar invisX for baitcasters and love it.
I'm using mostly Yozuri Hybrid but could support basspro FC for everything besides topwaters. I tend to use pure FC on platics reel only. Everything else is Yozuri.
