...and watch out for the deer. ...and bats.
missed the deer on many occasions on my way to van buren. then, one time, had a bat hit my windshield right before daylight, thought it was a huge moth, hit the windshield wipers and saw this BIG wing spread out.

i couldn't roll my window up fast enough. thought i wet myself, i was so scared!!!!!

Thanks for the directions, and the warnings. I am looking forward to getting up there for the first time ever. Going after Bass and maybe a few Hybrids.

bud if this is your first time on the lake i would suggest going about 7 miles down to possum ridge. The reson i say this there is alot of trash that floats in from salt river and very shallow water on that end. I have fished it for 10 years and busted a lower unit and a prop on that end of the lake.
