That is a MONSTER on any body of water much less Cave Run. My dad just fished there for 4 days this week and never caught anything until yesterday when he had a couple of Greenfish. He even threw them back. He called me this morning and told me that I would have been proud of him for throwing them back for there does not get any bigger of a meat fisherman than him. I told him that I was proud of him. He tried for Crappie the first 3 days and never got a bite. You all must realize that a full day of fishing for him is a couple of hours and he would not run a hundred yards if you guaranteed him a limit of 3lb Crappie or a 10lb Greenfish. Glad that he released the ones that he did.
Awesome awesome fish...
Glad that he released it.![]()
Do you know what he took it on?
Nice fishh!
I'm glad he released it, but I hope it lived. I just have to say I'm not a real big fan of dragging fish around the lake all day and back to the parking lot.
Michael
it was caught on a crankbait; the fish was only out of the water for a few minutes as soon as he caught it, he brought it up to the marina at scotts creek for a photo and then released it cleanly...
That makes two over 8 that I know have been caught this spring. There have been quite a few over 6 as well. It took over 20lbs to win our last 7 hour Renegade Tourney on Saturday. The Cave is very hit and miss but when everything lines up for you it can be some very good fishing.
