When and where do the shad spawn on Kentucky & Barkley?

They should be doing their thing now, I saw some on the bank on Taylorsville Lake this weekend.

I was down on Barkley last weekend during the BFL and there were some on beds but it seemed that they were starting to move out. Some of the pro's were saying the same thing and were not have much luck either in the bush. We tricked a few that were under the shad late in the afternoon

When and where do the shad spawn on Kentucky & Barkley?

I think they start spawning when the water temps are stable around 70. Check on them this coming week because of the full moon.

You may see a bunch of shad this time of year up under docks doing their thing. If you do see this, skip a senko under there and hold on. The bass and shad spawn usually happen close to the same time. It doesn't matter what time of year it is, the bass are never far from the shad.
