I'll come down on Grumpy's side on this one. Looking at the big picture, running down the gas producers is not the answer. The oil companies aren't making anymore profit per gallon than they ever did. It's been said again and again, consumption is up. They sell more gallons they make more money. Why's that so hard to grasp?

Now the oil companies are far from angels, I think some gouging does go on, and they definitely are part of the problem. But to put the oil companies under government control, which is what many of you want will be an absolute disaster. You can listen to the liberal pols blame everything on the oil and insurance companies if you want, but I ain't buyin' it.

BTW, you'd be surprised in how many of you have ownership in oil companies. Check out your 401k plan and get back to us on that.
