I try to stay out of Wally World as much as possible. But there are times when you don't have much of a choice.
A gas boycot is a nice idea in theory but will not work even if you could convince everybody in America to not drive for a day or even two.
It all comes back to China. Oil that we don't purchase goes to China. They are willing to buy whatever we don't use. If we don't buy it they will so there is not much you can do except bend over.
Oh wait, this started out about Wally World pulling out of FLW. Have not heard that except for this rumor but if they did it won't make a difference. Operation Bass (The original name of FLW) will get another big name sponsor to take there place. They probably already have a back up plan in the works. Unlike BASS, the folks in Benton know how to run a company.
The poor folks at BASS are at the mercy of what ESPN, ABC and Disney will let them do. They run good pro level tournaments but make some questionable decisions when it comes to business. But alot of that is due to ESPN management holding the rope. In case anyone was wondering what ABC and Disney have to do with it, Disney owns ABC which owned ESPN when they were bought by Disney. ESPN purchased BASS several years ago from the woman that bought it from Ray Scott.
