killed them last night as well as the walleye. redfins and thundersticks. if you cant find the shad you might as well go home.

Strong line and good knots.............or you will be like me ........sad...........Went mon night and had 2 large fish on and multiple blowup misses..got none in the boat.............but my fishing partner boated 10 biggest 6lbs.........caught all 10 on a small crankbait...........also had a few walleye................

WEnt last night also......put in at Fall Creek, ran down the lake about 15 min...Absolutley sacked em last night. My friend catches one that was almost 42 inches long......WE landed 6 stripers and i took home 8 nice walleye.

Did well last night put in at wolf and caught 6 walleys
4,7,8,9,3,3 # and 10 strippers smallest bieng 5 and biggest 11# Had a lot of misses. put in at 10 pm pulled out at 415 am. Thundersticks. Like the other guy said no shad go home. Ed

YES..................we had multiple not 2 blow ups...........This was only my 3rd time trying for these at night ........I am learning more each time...........

Winch, stop at the tackle store we went to on the way and get a smithwick deep rogue jr in banana bread...........all 12 fish my partner caught were on that bait...............fished the huge point straight across from ramp and wall on the other side of it

Lesson learned while striper fishing this week:

Buy a net according to the biggest striper you HOPE to catch, not what you usually catch.

Mon and Tues night...got mostly walleye w/ a couple of stripers. All after 2 AM on Long A bombers at the mouth of creeks.

I am heading to Cumberland this weekend and am going to try striper fishing for only the second time.

I am putting in near the state dock.

I have bought some redfins and have bomber long A's.

Any advice on how to catch alewives? Where to fish? I am willing to fish all night if need be.

Ned, What time did the shad come up? Also how late did you fish. Ive got a couple of them baits, can't wait to get down there. Did you get a truck or are you borrowing one?

Winch , Fished all night from before dark till after sunrise.........shad were up after midnight some time maybe 1 or 2 am.........Bought a 08 dodge ram 1500...............
