I fished Laurel this past weekend and for me personally it was a very tough lake. I Blanked....
This is definitely a lake that if you want to do well you either need to spend some time on the water or be LUCKY...

You hit the nail on the head my friend, she is a very tough lake indeed, however if you can find them they're usually good ones. fish her long enough and you'll find some really good fish. Local tournies still bringing in goos bags of fish.
