I have been impatiently flipping channels from ESPN to Vs. to The Outdoor Channel to see the results from Kentucky Lake in the epic battle between Dave "Supreme Overlord of the LBL" Stewart and Elnut vs. Buzzking. Alot of smack was issued and we the public need the results from this slugfest. Maybe it was blacked out and will be on tape delay...LOL

The only real "Rumble" on Kentucky Lake was when Buzzking took a C Rig to the head from his PARTNER on Friday. Surely Buzz will post all the great details for this was the ABSOLUT BEST NEWS OF THE TRIP. Nothing against fishing but we could not have caught a 40 pound bag and been any happier than every single person in the tourney to hear about his misfortunes. The results were for the Dave Stewart Challenge is that the Trooper Island Kids got $220 donated to their cause. This was donated by the winners of the challenge, which was not Dave and myself. Dave would have done just fine by himself in the tourney but he was pulling dead weight and a lot of weight that still is from the back of the boat. Seriously, fishing is called fishing for a reason and not catching. We had 15-16 lbs on Friday when we pre-fished, and left fish, and never hit our best spots due to nice 4-5 footers crashing down the lake due to North winds. We fished our best spots across the lake this morning and it took a good couple of hours before Dave caught the only keeper for us for the day. We ran back to the same area that we caught them yesterday and they had all jumped ship. Could not even get the bluegill and shellcrackers to play taps on our jig trailers. Dave has been going thru 2-3 bags of trailers a day and I know we went thru that many last Monday together between fish caught and tails stolen. My guess is that we didn't use 10 trailers between us today. I am horrible with names but the guy that owns Charmer Baits and his partner won the challenge and their overall Saturday tournament with 14+ pounds and he instantly handed the winnings over to the Trooper Island, which is what Dave would have done anyways. It was for charity and now they have bragging rights for a year. The team that came in second Saturday also came in Second in their Thursday and Friday editions to make it 3 straight second places for the week. My guess these 2 fellas were easily the overall 3 day champs, if there was such a prize. Buzzking would have beaten us today as well and I do believe that we would have been nosed out for 10th place so that means we finished as the 10th loser in a 11 boat challenge. Fishing is Fishing and it is no more a true statement when a guy that knows the lake with the best of them manages to catch 1 keeper a day after we would have easily won their Friday edition of the tourney.
Thanks again to Dave Stewart for asking me to partake in the event. I had a blast and thanks to the guys from Bassboatcentral for putting on a class act get together. I met a bunch of nice guys, excluding Buzzking of course, and pretty much it was Fishing, Drinking, Card Playing, Eating and telling Lies of course. Brought back some door prizes to boot plus got to spend 2 days in the boat with THE CHAMP!!!! The Dave Challenge was for the kids at Trooper Island and I for one was glad to see the same outcome with the money happened as if Dave had won it. Thanks again Dave and I appreciate it very much. Excellent event guys and sorry that I am HORRIBLE with names or I would happily mention you by name, but all that ran this event should be commended for their efforts for an excellent job well done.
Well I attempted to read that novel but I could read was yack yack yack we got smokedI got an ice pack on my noggin and satisfaction of puttin the smack down on the elnutster and Dave
Nice meetin ya bud. Until next time I'll leave you with a little charlie daniels "Buzzking said just come on back if you ever wanna try again, I done told you once you son of a gun I"m the best there's ever been" hahaha
Had a great time...we fished hard but it just was not our day. I had a feeling that after being on good bags of fish all week I was due for a slow day on keepers...My hat's off to team Charmer Baits for a great win with about 18lbs with a 6+ kicker and thanks for donating the challenge money to the Trooper Island Kids Camp...just shows you guys are a class act and I am happy to have you as friends. Always a pleasure to be around this group of folks...Elwood being my partner just made it an even better good time for me.

Ok Elnut,
Maybe you need to do like Charlie Moore did and have your own Bassmaster Classic with you as the only entry in the tournament...... Hands down you'll kick some booty...... Go get'em my friend....Classic Bound.......![]()
Looks like everyone had fun, and it was for a good call. Dave, you called it. I saw Dave in the middle of the week, and he said he has been on them all week - he said I bet you anything I will wear them out until saturday, that is the way it always works. I hear it was a tough day around the two lakes yesterday, with a few exceptions here and there. I only had one keeper in my club Tourney yesterday, but it was less than a 1/2 oz. shy of 7. I have have still never broke the 7 pound mark -but I will settle for this one for now.
Glad everyone had a good time this weekend. Even the very best of fishermen struggle from time to time. When its all said and done the things that will be remembered the most will be the good times and fellowship with friends not the amount of money you won.
Woody & Dave,
Sorry to hear about your tough tourney day. Dave said it best when he said it just wasn't your day. I'm glad the Trooper Island Kids won either way.
As for the poster (Luke45) that questions Elwood's numbers, size or whatever. Think about this....
Think about the people who he's fished with in his short time of fishing. I don't need to name names, but add this in with Elwood being a very intelligent guy and you know he's sticken them.
If and when you meet him at some point, you will realize how knowledgeable he is and more importantly how generous he is with his time. Have you read the posts helping folks out with info and explanations?
Hopefully, you were just kidd'n around. In the event you were not, the latter part of this post is for your consideration.
Mark
In response to Luke45's stupidity questioning Elwoods integrity...do us all a favor...stay away...your ruining it for everyone....
