Heard a rumor that trooper island on the hollow was going to be turned into a penitentiary. Just wondering if this was true? There are plans on the net for this project but just wondering if the bill passed and this is really happening or if it was just an idea of years gone by....? Sorry don't know the link for the plans but i will look and repost if i find them again.

The island you speak of was initially founded/started for Philanthropic means by an affluent family. I'd be surprised if this becomes a reality....specifically based on cost alone. That is...there are much more cost efficient places to establish such a facility.

If you read the comments section on you tube, it was a project done by a group of U of L students that had to design a new prison and make a presentation. Nothing to worry about.
