boat running/anc lights

I recently purchased a G3 175 bass boat and noticed that the anchor and navigation lights do not turn on at the same time. I have an rocker switch, up is for navigation lights and down (turns off the navigation) turns on the anchor lights. Shouldn't they both come on at the same time..am I missing something???? Any advice???

On the bow of my boat next to the trolling motor I have a rocker panel switch. Up will turn on anchor light and bow light. Center position is off. Down will turn on the anchor light.

I have a rocker panel switch at the dash also. Up will turn on dash lights running light and bow light. Center is off and down will turn on the anchor light.

Hopefully you get it figured out...at night if you are running down the lake you must have your bow light AND anchor light on. If the boat is setting still you must leave on the anchor light.
