    Replacing Hooks need advice please..

I posted about 3 weeks ago about buying a bunch of crankbaits with some rust on the hooks. Well taken them all off was no problem but know putting new hooks back on is causing me a fit.

Is there a simple way of going about this? Help if you know of any.

I know it's to late but I always put the new one on as I'm taking the old one off. I have tried all kinds of ways except the split ring pliers. Maybe that works well? Other than that it's always been the thumbnail to start it. Good luck!

Use split ring pliers or a small knife.

X2 That's how I always did it. One off,= one on. Go get some split ring pliers, if you have very many baits to go through I think your fingernail will end up loosing the battle.

    Thanks guys.

I think I was making it harder then it actually was. Yeah I have like 30 baits so I'm just going to use the thumb nail for the ones that I know I'll be throwing tomorrow.

    Thanks Again and Fish HARD!

I bought a good pair of split ring pliers as I always replace crankbait hooks with Mustad Triple Grips (found RED ones at Miejers of all places). Once you play a while with them it goes fast. I can even do it on the water without putting on my glasses...lol

Eyeglasses? You had to bring that up! I have started buying a pair for the office, upstairs, downstairs and next it will be for the boat because it's getting harder to see that little eye on the baits.

You can get some cheapy split ring pliers at Wally world for 4 or 5 bucks. They can save your nails. Changing the hooks gets quicker with practice, it used to take me 5 minutes or so with one crankbait. Now I can run through about 1 a minute.

I only got 2 pairs of glasses, regular ones, and sunglasses. Both pairs are "over, under, or throughs". What am I talking about? If I want to see something far away I look thru them. If I want to see something real close for a short period of time, I slide them down my nose and look over them. And if I have to do a lot of close up work, I prop them up on top of my head and look under them.

I did notice you don't have a pair of glasses for the bedroom or the bathroom. Is that cause you don't need to see in those rooms or because all activities there are done via the "brail system"?

Wife and I been married 28 years. The first 14 was cause we physically looked good. The second 14 was because our eyes got so bad we couldn't see the wrinkles, and could only remember what we used to look like. I'm afraid if the wife's eyes get any worse, we'll be married for ever! I was gonna buy her a set of prescription glasses, but was worried it would cost me half of what I owned.
