Went to the river this morning. The fishing was awesome! Got at least 25 trout, but most of them were on the small size. A few of the browns went close to 16 inches, and maybe 4 bows were in the slot range.Most of these were caught on small crank baits trolled in 5 to 10 ft of water.It seemed brown and gold were the best colors, but thats because I wasn't thatmuch in the mood for experimenting. The best baits were frenzys. On these lures i have removed the middle hooks, and it sure cut back on snagging and losing baits. It looks like they may be discontinuing that lure, got to see if i can find a good source. The deep diving frenzy also started to work good lastsummer trolling on cumberland lake, but with all the hooks on them.
