NO luck Herrington

Well I went in blind at Herrington today. Said I post to those that I had asked about the conditions. Didn't know the first thing about it but what was on KYFW.GOV and asking the water condition from here, What a surprise! Didn't know that the lake was over 60 up to 130 feet 95% of the entire lakee That just what I saw. I imagine deeper! Tried to find creeks, points, and then bluegill. I might go back if they start smashing the topwater at nights!! Frustrated says it best. Guess I'll try it at Guist Creek or Taylorsville, somewhere close. You know what is most frustrating? I can stay right here in Franklin County, Fish farm ponds that has 7 lbs cats, 7 lbs greenfish, 1/2 lbs Gills, granting on just about any night, or take my 10ft bass raider to Elkhorn for smallies all day long and not have to leave this County!

Sorry to hear you had a bad trip. Herrington is far more different than any lake around. Some places over 200 feet deep. Intimidating to most people. If you decide to go again, drop me a pm and I'll take you out and show you some spots. I am not a Bassmaster so it won't be a guided trip where we go slay them but I usually catch my share.
