The pleasure crafts are there also but not as many as other lakes. This Lake is awesome and can hold it's own with some nice catches of bass and Musky. Do yourself a favor and try it I'm sure you will like it.

    Re: what about green river....

I was on Green monday. We got there about 8 and were throwing flukes. The first hour we had about 7 in the boat and lost about 5 others. Then it was like somebody flipped a switch and we never got a bite the rest of the day.

I like Green, probably my favorite lake in the state. I haven't heard any reports lately though, so not quite sure any patterns that are working. However, from what I have seen fishing tournaments, pleasure fishing, and reading other tournament reports - it is out producing some of the other lakes like Barren.

I say give it a shot. You will either love it or hate.

    Re: what about green river....

I started fishing Green River last year due to living only 27 miles from the lake. I purchased a hot spots map this year and have had success by following the advice and techniques given on the map. I usually fish around the dam area and the mid to upper portions of Robinson Creek. I have found that a dark colored Berkley Worm T-Rigged works well around the underwater cover. Emerald Island Marina has free maps from Dept. of Fish and Wildlife that shows the general area of the artificial structure located along the banks. Hope this is some help! EKU CLass of 1999.

Green is my home lake. I absolutely love it! I caught a 7.4 smallie out of it 2 years ago. It's a very good lake at times, and at others can drive you nuts, but hey thats fishing.
