Sorry never heard of this place, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist....Maybe someone else can give you some info, have you tried the County court House and see if they know anything about it. Might even find out you might need some type of yearly pass or sticker purchased to fish there.
I fished it a couple of times a few years ago. I know they stock it with trout, so after that it's probably pretty good. I just caught a few small bluegill, though. It's pretty small.
there's rattlesnakes there , to..........................
yeah alot of snakes, lol i have caught some very small bass out of it i know it has cats in it and tons of gills
Thanks guys, sounds like I'll be headed somewhere else.
The only lake that I can say I have seen Bass over 10lbs on the nest and saw 3 in one day but that has been afew years ago. Trout fed fish I guess but I would not leave my truck out of site if I were you.
I live here in Stanford and have fished this lake for many years. It is snakey I agree. I usually always fish out of a boat. There are some huge bass in there. I have caught some 1# plus gills also. The lake is stocked with trout. The lake also has shellcrackers in it. I have never had anyone mess with my vehicle, not to say that it would't happen. Some of our smaller bodies of water are so often overlooked as being good to great fisheries.
Can you put a bass boat in the ramp there, 16' w/trolling motor?
Bassky
i also live in stanford....about 4yrs ago i think i hooked one of those pigs....i was bluegill fishing on the bank near the ramp with an ultra-lite with 4lb test.
this monster was on the nest nearby. after many casts with a spinnerbait she bit. i survived the first run and even turned her....but she took off again. stupid me had not adjusted the drag before i cast (i was too excited). yep...you know the rest...the line sounded like a gunshot when she broke it.
that is my "the big one got away" story. BTW about a week later i was at randy's tackle store near cedar creek and he showed me a pic of a 10+ that was taken and then released at stanford lake a couple days before.
i also have seen a few huge bass near the shore this time of the year.
yes....you can launch any size bass boat. there are some slab crappie in there as well.
Bassky, the ramp is in good shape. No dock though. I think that trolling motor is all that is allowed. I live in the area but haven't fish there this year. I went out one day and walked across the dam and seen 8 or 10 5 plus pounders. The water is usually real clear. I do alot of catfishing there.
