WOW. How did the rest of the anglers do? Never fished Nolin, but those kind of stringers I may have to check it out.

They can be beat when the lake is muddy and the fish on the bank if you get lucky like we did 2times this spring. If I ever find a good fisherman too team up with i'll try them alot more than i aready do.Not that my partner i have now is bad but he is sure lucky for no more fishing has done.

Question - do any of you who regularly fish tournaments back-off a bit at this time of year when the fish are getting ready to spawn or on the bed?

I don't change a thing myself but then again I don't target (bedding fish) that much in KY if at all. Heck it's hard enough getting out anymore! I just have never really done well in KY with bedding fish....now Florida was different.

they can and have been beat, but in my opinion they are day in and day out the two best fishermen in the state and have been for many, many years, most of the time, not always,if they are fishing in the tournament you,r in you know you,r fishing for second or worst.

If your fishing Nolin or Rough. Don't see them fishing any other lakes or any of the bigger circuits...They know the waters and have spent time putting the structure out. Which makes them very good on those lakes..

    Re: 29.69 lb stringer (Nolin)

i have never met eather one of those guys but if you ask anybody who fishes tournys they know who beachem and long are and that says alot those guys are good and are always in the money in tournys. i have ben fishing tournys for about 3 years now and that was mostley tom and al's at rough river and some work ones. but me and my buddy have always said we hope to be as cosistent as beachem and long one day but with 29lbs at nolin that is pretty hard to compete with.

"man 29lbs that is crazy." i haven't cought 29lbs combined all year

and just to add,as good as they are both their heads still fit in the boat, nice fellows without the attitude,i have fished in tournaments against them since 96 and have never seen an unsportsman like act.if you see em"cruising" back to weigh in a few hours early your butt has been whipped...
