Barren conditions this weekend

Caught a couple of nice keepers (best was a 3 pounder) in the dead stuff that grew up last summer which is now in 5 to 6 feet of water.

We were using Watermelon/Flake Chompers' (5" twin tail grubs) Texas rigged. Water temps were anywhere from 67 - 71 degrees depending on where you were (creeks, main lake etc.).
