New River Smallmouth Fishing?

Anyone ever fish with New River Outfitters out of Crab Orchard,WVA? I'm thinking about booking a trip and was looking for a little first hand info.

I went to West V. to go do a little white water rafting trip with the New River Outfitters they did a very good job at trying to do what you want. The day after rafting we went fishing with them and had a total of 56 nice smallmouth.

When we went, just a few weeks ago, I caught a few on tubes, but most of the fish came on topwater plugs. Its big water, so use bigger baits and a bigger rod. In the Swift current I would suggest using heavier weights too.

We were using topwater in the morning before the sun was high in the sky, then we when to fast moving water and used small baits on the bottom of the river in the fast moving water. Anything small will work.
