Please say a prayer for Leo237ret

Well I got the news I really didn`t want to hear today. My close friend Steve Williams passed away today from bone cancer. He posted 4 years ago wanting someone to take him fishing since he became blind. Nobody answered him for a couple of weeks so I called and took him to the river. Well after 3 hours,,,he told me that he was ready to go home,,,,he said his arm was tired from catching so many stripers...LOL After that we become great friends,,,,he even gave me his center console to use anytime I wanted. He was a great man and a good friend. Fisheater aka John and i took him to Dale Hollow,Ky Lake,Cumberland and was always in a great mood and fun to be around. I`m surely going to miss him.

    Doug,

Sorry to hear the bad news.

    Fisherman's Prayer
God grant that I may live to fish untill my dying day,
And when it comes to my last cast I then most humbly pray,
When in the lords safe landing net I'm peacfully asleep,
That in his mercy I be judged as big enough to keep.

I have this hanging on my wall at work, and under the lid of one of my boxes. I've always thought it was worded just perfect.

Very sorry to hear of his passing. Never met the man but he certainly sounds like a keeper. I'm real tired of cancer and this is one more reason. He and his family are in my family's prayers.

Prayers sent in a big way Doug, John and Bandit1...I only joined the board about 2 years ago and never heard of him until John made the post asking for prayers a couple of weeks ago. I could have surely taken him fishing if I only knew of the situation.... Now he's fishing in the big pond above with our Lord and Savior.
