I like the Gammy's, that's all I use no matter what the application. Mostly use the EWG's. Now if I could figure out the best or biggest swimbait hook! I have some ideas but gotta find the time to try them.

Don if you plan on fishing them in open water than just use a lead jig head and expose the hook. I was doing this the other day and liked the way it looked and casted. IF you were tossing it in brush, grass or other stuff it would not be the way to go, something to think about.

Same here. I wouldn't use anything else. They may cost a bit more, but are well worth it. I change out every treble with these, and use them for all plastics.

I will have to agree that Gamakatsu are great. DJD, check out the lake fork tackle weighted hooks for swimbaits.

    Re: Hook selection

I will never use Gamakatsu trebles again.. Changed a redfin to use at Cumberland night striper one time.. Ended up nicknaming those hooks to "Gotcha and Gone". Can't remember how many fish I lost that night, or how many times I had to use pliars to straighten them out.. Never had that trouble before with Mustad, or Eagle claw..
