I agree that LE needs to get more involved(other than to fill out a report). That is why a couple of bass clubs ought to get together, set up a dummy vehicle, watch it "happen" then "detain" the lowlife. Nothing I would rather see than a couple of those scumbags crying for their mommas!

Law enforcement is trying to apprehend these individual/s. Although they can't be everywhere all the time it's suggested the public be made aware of suspicsious activity around them "specifically in any parking lots" and not just at boat ramps. And yes housing prisoners has already exceeded our county budget by 158%. Guess the cops aren't eating donuts all the time.

I didn't think about that! Now I want them to steal my Catalytic Converter. 13MPG is killing me and then I can blame it on some crack head with a sawzall.

The fine for not having one, is much steeper than the price of fuel. The thieves are small potatos, get the guys buying off of them, they are really the reason this can only happen. Had a buddy who worked the stolen car detail, his job was checking vin# on scrap autos at junk yards. He finally got a guy buying stripped hulks, plea deal, no time, and nothing further happened. The guy moved his scrap operation across the city limit.

The guy doing the stealing is NOT "small potatoes". They steal other stuff as well(most likely to support their drug habit). Most sell stuff at 10 cents on the dollar just to support that habit, meaning to support a $25,000 drug habit, they have to steal $250,000 worth of stuff. Sooner or later one of those lowlifes will cross the wrong path and it's gonna "get what you deserve- and deserve what you get!".

Looks like KENLAKE MARINA of all places was the latest place for this CRAP to happen friday. A Guy staying at our hotel came in with his ride a rumbling loudly, got jacked in the parkling lot at KENLAKE...which is crazy since that ramp is small and usually packed. I did learn a little something from the event, apparently Toyota Cat converters are worth twice what normal ones are since they have the platinum and another precious metal....IF you are driving a toyota and fish, I would go ahead and put straight pipes on that thing, someone is going to do it for you anyways.

There are actually sites on the internet to show you how to STEAL them and how to sell them without getting caught.............It is simply AMAZING what the SOB's will target........

One website was talking about how you could make $1000 bucks a day STEALING converters.......... hit 20 cars, ANYWHERE, and that is $1000 bucks on ebay.

KILL the THIEF, and lockup the buyer.......PERIOD.

    Later,
