When the red ear are swimming around a nest with the female laying on her side swimming and the fish will not bite, she's laying eggs, correct? How long does this process take before the males will be be agressive and bite? A friend of mine saw this yesterday and the fish would not bite. He spent 3 hours on one spot trying to catch some good red ears. any help appreciated.
