Fished this lake for the first time yesterday, and we had a great time meeting the famous Granny, and her faithful sidekick MacDuff. I spent the morning installing my new Humminbird 525, so we didn't get out there until noon, and left before the evening bite was on. Still managed to catch a small channel cat and a smaller bullhead. Surface water temp was in the mid-80's. It looks like a really nice spot and we'll be back when we can get there early. And so far I'm really happy with the Humminbird 525. My boat is just a 14" jonboat, so all I wanted was a basic unit to tell me the depth, temp, what the bottom is like, and hopefully show me some fish, and for $129, this one looks good to me.
