Lake Malone is not too much farther up the road, and lake Beshear is between Caneyville and LBL. I have fished both for years, and both provide excellent bass fishing, and both hold some BIG bass.

I've caught a lot of bass at Caneyville but Haven't been there in two years. We had the best luck with Sluggos.

Is there public access to caneyville resevoir and/or a boat ramp? It is a nice looking lake from the parkway.

It was electric motor only and no launch
but we've camped there and so did a lot
    of other folks.
If you go take a flyrod or jig pole below the dam
    (walk down)
