Nite fishing Lights?

I just recently got a moonlite from Anglers Outpost. I love them LED (minimal power use) and smaller than any blacklight ive seen. They are a little $$$ if you do lots of fishing at night its wort it in my opinion. There is another similar to this light. Links below.

I recently purchased the Nite Eye's III , it is a small LED model and works pretty good. It's not as bright as the Nuclieye and Moonlite but they are $150 to $250 as compared to $60 for the Nite Eye's III. I'm done with the long tubular bulb kind, I've too many problems with those. Not had this one all that long though so we'll see. Also my buddy I fished with this past weekend brought one of those BPS recargeable ones and it worked great except the bracket for the suction cup broke the first night that he used it(really annoying). Too bad though, a rechargeable light is a great idea because you can use it in anyone's boat regardless of the plug in the boat has.

I've been using the BPS Nite Eye's III for 2 years now and it is still going strong, very happy with it. I have made a stand for it out of PVC that fits in the cupholder on my boat or will let me put it on the deck near the FF. The stand is the best part of the blacklight, makes it very versitle and also stores protected inside of it when not in use.

used a stan slone for 15 years with out a hitch .black bulb went out the other night but i canreplace it . also have a full moon with rca jack a little costly but worth it in my opinion. cant go wrong either way.

i dont like the stan sloan lites they are too big and what i got and we have had in all our previous boats is rca plugs and we used to have the stan sloan lites but i wouldnt trade my moonlight brand black lights for nothing.... they are high yes but they last forever and take up no space i usually keep mine in the rod locker and they are out of the way and i honestly cant think of a draw back to them.... they use very little power and u can put them away easily they arent bulky.... i have the big one and the little one i use the big one in the front and dad usees the little one..... but they are bright as everythign.... i am very pleased..... u can pick them up at most tackle stores.... they are expensive... but wasnt that rod or reel....its just another part of fishing........

Stann Sloan's are the best, they may be bulky but they are tough. I had a plug in first. It got knocked off by the net into the water atleast once a night. Got rained on numerous times. I dragged it up the ramp and through the parking lot of ramp 1 on green at a couple of Clydes Tue. night's . When it fell of and hit the water at 60mph it didnt even flicker till the plug got jerked out of my boat. I'd almost bet money that if I could go down and get it off the bottom of green and let it dry out for a day, I could plug it in and it would still work. I went the next day and got some drop ins. Had them for a year now and love them. Both of mine were the Super Double. A buddy of mine has the piggy-back and I like it too. I had one of those cheap lights that you buy at Wal-Mart first, it made it about 4 trips (I lost both covers for the lights in the first trip) and it became sturcture on Herrington, darn things sink too fast.

Not sure in Northern Ky where to buy them several of the tackle stores around S.East Ky have them but as far as the difference. . .my buddy fishes the moonlight and I fish the Nite Eyes, what I have noticed is that the Moonlight is brighter and his verison has white lights as well. Also the construction on the moonlite is more sturdy(aluminium housing) as compared to plastic on the NiteEyesIII. If i had it to do over again I would buy a Nuclieye or Moonlite even though they are $100 to $200 more(depending on the model). If money is a concern go with NiteEyes if not get the Moonlite, in my opinion.

How much was the super double and were did you get it

Just about any bait shop can order you one, the cordless run around $109.99 to 159.99 depending on thier mark up and thier wholesaler. I sell them for $109.99 at mine. The plug-in type runs around $69.99 - $89.99. In my opinion it is worth the extra money to get the cordless. If I were you I would check on Ebay, A friend of mine got one for $40.00 and it works just fine. Hope this helps.

I checked and Tackleexpert.com has, but the phone jack connectors are sold out. I may look into the one with the extra light. That web page is the same as backwaters I think.
