    Re: Obama

    [QUOTE=Devils Horse;329146]
...but I have to admit, the Obama/Clinton ticket's gonna be hard to beat considering the mood of the country and the collective IQ of all those new "freshly energized" voters....

A lot of those freshly energized voters are this countries best and brightest college graduates. I would think that these highly educated kids may know a thing or two. They maybe only 21 years old but they are highly intelligent and will end up making a pretty good living.

Only time will tell who wins the election this coming November. But the Senate races are going to be just as important as the race for the White House.

Like I have said before one needs a super majority in the US Senate to get new laws passed.

And even if the Dems can pass new legislation they have to get the courts to approve of that new legislation. And Bush and Regan stacked the highest court in the land with GOP conservatives that can rewrite the laws that congress passes. What is the term that many GOP people called the lower court justices when they didn't agree with the GOP side. The GOP accused them as being Activist judges or something to that effect. But it not for activist justices on the US Supreme Court Bush would have never been appointed to the Presidency.

    Re: Obama

I agree many of the newly energized voters are college kids. They are indeed bright and intelligent, but much like yourself they swill down that kool aid dished out by elitist Democrats by the gallon.

After they get out here for a few years and sweat that IQ sapping kool aid out of their systems, most become Republicans. Doesn't take too many years of paying in your hard earned money to the government and watching folks like BO and Hillary pizz it away to change your way of thinking.

Don't worry Moose, in a few more years you'll see what I mean.

    Re: Obama

I have no worries and I have already seen the GOP Trickle Down economic drag this county down.

Folks need to just ask themselves on question.

Are you better off now than you were 8 years ago?

I was much better off then than after all these years of Bush's politics.

    Re: Obama

"Are you better off now than you were 8 years ago?" sounds like a talking point politicians use.

2 ways to look at it. I'm better off as far as lifestyle, I make more money and pay less of it out in taxes. On the other hand I've aged some. I can't run quite as fast or jump as high, but I don't think the president had anything to do with that. Wait a minute, since Bush is responsible for everything else wrong in the world, maybe it is his fault.

Yep it's his fault for not instructing you on how to properly age, eat and exercise. Apparently, you have too much money and time so it's not fair to the under achievers so pay up! Watch out because once you start making over $120k Obama wants to be coming after you because at that point you are RICH and weathy so re-distibution of your money is in order! That's his plan, take from the so called wealthy, give money to people who under achieve or are poor so as to level the playing field....great idea huh? Dumb down the United States for the good of us all.

Seriously, I am better off because the small company that I work for has flourished. I don't like the additional money coming out of my pocket directly and indirectly because of oil prices but as a whole I'm ok.

    Re: Obama the real deal!

You mean to tell me that you only make $120K? That's peanuts man.

Unless you make over 2 mil you are OK with the taxes.
Those making 120K will get another $1000 tax rebate when Obama gets into Office in Jan.

But if your the CEO of EXXON Mobile then you are going to hate Obama. He will close the tax loopholes that allows Exxon to get by without paying taxes.

With Obama hard work will be reward not wealth.

Bush and his Reganomic has given us record deficits, climbing unemployment and has sent jobs overseas.

    That's going to change soon.

    Re: Obama

I am voting for the candidate that will give 95% of working Americans the best tax deal and will take away the tax cuts from the wealthy 5% of Americans that won't miss it at all.

Trickle down has failed and it's time to change the economic and tax code to help middle class Americans.

The Ultra Rich will be fine. They may bitch and gripe a bit but they should get off the couch and get their hands dirty. Right now they use their money to make everyone else do their dirty work. That's going to change.

We were promised a fiscal conservative when Bush was campaigning but we got a fiscal DISASTER when Bush too office.

Let's keep it in perspective. You're talking about a society where they beat women legally, then go bounce their foreheads off the ground in the name of Allah. Mkay?

You're an old dude Larry, and your recall is pretty good, how can you still be a Dem supporter?

Democracy is not going to be a home grown thing if people are oppressed to the point they never have the chance. Iraq was/is a proactive measure, we can't just put our heads in the sand and pretend the middle east doesn't exist. Do you want more World Trade center bombings or worse?

Okay, you and many others oppose the war right? I assume by voting Obama you support pulling our troups out and bringing them home immediately. Then what? Open talks with Iran, sit back and wait to get hit again? Please BO supporters tell me what we do next, what's the plan?

Our soldiers are giving their lives and engaging the terrorists on their own soil. They've been too busy fighting our military there to hit us hard HERE. Why can't people get through their heads the war with middle eastern radicals is by all accounts going to be a long tough road? It can either be fought over there, or it can be fought in our country. Which do you choose?

Nevermind, your vote for the farthest left wing politician ever to run for president in U.S. history answers that one for me.

    Re: Obama

Don, the right wing heartless animal you are, once again you've hit the nail square on the head. I wasn't aware 120k was ultra rich, but hey, you learn stuff every day.

Supply side trickle down economics have allowed a vast number of people to do well for themselves and their families, surely it wasn't from working hard so it must have been at the expense of the less fortunate. Why it's dragged whole counties down, Moose can provide a first hand account of that. BO promises to take those scoundrels' money and give it to you, if you'll vote for him.

Gonna get those evil corporations too. It's high time the Democratic party reigned in the capitalists and put this country on the proper road to socialism. Let's be more like our liberal Canadian neighbors. Nationalize health care, put the rest of those solid Dem programs in play, and get those income tax rates up there around 45% where they belong. It's change you can believe in.

Nevermind BO and every other ranking politician is rich and immune to their selfless efforts our behalf. Since they couldn't run it cost effectively, the Senate just privatized their dining room to save we taxpayers money. I just know they'll make sure the capitalist dogs running that outfit don't make an obscene profit.

Even Al Gore has turned the air conditioner down 2 full degrees in his home that's bigger than several average homes combined. What a guy. He's doing his part in the name of global warming, vote Obama and you'll be doing yours.

    Re: Obama

It was the socialist ideals of great presidents like FDR that made America Strong and what it is today.

We need to get rid of the FASCIST BUSH and GOP who are running this government. Corporate America does not care about anything but their bottom line.

We have had 8 years of GW Bush and all that's done was make a very small percentage of the American's richer and the vast majority of American's poorer.

120K is not ultra rich. That's middle class no matter how you try to spin it.

120K won't buy you anything these days.

Vote for McCain if you want to continue the rise in Gas prices

Are you ready for $5.00/gallon gas by July 4th. That would be a great Forth of July Present from the Bush Adm to the American Public

    Re: Obama

I bet that GW Bush sets the White House AC on 65 deg F. He won't worry about the cost.

Al Gore's house uses more green energy than the White House.

Al Gore should have been our President in 2000. He got more votes.

    Re: Obama

Obama was not born with a silver foot in his mouth like Bush! LOL\

He knows what hard work is like and understand what it's like to be a regular citizen.

If you put down the Senate then you are putting down McCain too!

At least Obama will let people retire at 65 instead of 70 like McCain wants. And Obama will save social security for everyone.

We can tax Bill Gates and Cheney more to save Social Security.. They won't miss the money!

Unless you make over $200,000/year you won't have to worry about any income tax increase from the Obama Adm. You will be getting more money back on your taxes not paying more.

Only those making more than $200,000/yr will pay more and that's OK by me and 95% fo the rest of Americans.

    Re: Obama

I'm in favor of every tax break that's offered. Rich, poor, sales, whatever, as long as the government is giving people their money back, I'll support it.

By the same token, I'm against every tax increase...no questions asked.
