    i agree with the hot water striper fishing. That is why i start fishing for them in november usually and fish up to may or so and then quit and fish for bass or catfish or even stripers in the river where i can release them with no problem. I would like to see that happen with the 2 fish and quit but i doubt we will ever see it. Seems like a waste of a good resource to me too. I don't actually think the guides would mind but it would be hard to keep clients happy.

    I'm pretty sure if the guide explained the two fish rule, most clients would gladly accept it, get lucky early, fish for something else.The guides themselves probably dont like to see those floaters, because these are put and take fish, no spawn, and with budget cuts, there may be fwewer of them in the next few years. But they did take a step in the right direction about the size and quota.
