For the tip on catching catfish on chicken soaked in strawberry jello! I had been carrying some with me for a while, but never used it. Probably had it in and out of the freezer half a dozen times. Then, I was at Miles Park on Saturday and I thought, "Well, the trout have all died off now, and the bluegill are all tiny, and I've never seen a bass in here of any size... why not give this strawberry chicken a shot?" Did so, and had 2 nice eatin' size catfish in about a half hour. Kendra cooked them for dinner tonight and they were delicious! So, as I enjoy a little after-dinner drop of Southern Comfort, I thought I'd post a thank-you.
I wonder if it'll work on flatheads? The chicken, that is, not the Comfort![]()

I have never seriously fished for cat fish, catch a few now and then by accident, and the ones I catch are pretty decent size. About that southern comfort, it wont hurt em.Once while steelhead fishing, seen a guy using small sponges, the red ones cut to size, he had some of his soaked in gin, and anise extract. He said a pint of gin will be all you need to soak a couple of dozen baits, and still have plenty left over for martinis!
