I've got a 14ft aluminum V with a 15hp Johnson, concrete block in the front and my big but in the back. I just adjust my shad bucket in the middle for a great hole shot..lol sorry guy's I had to...

I would try the hydrafoil, its cheaper than a prop and should help your holeshot and not cost you any top end speed because its out of the water when the boat is up on plane.

And that's what she said. lol.
Ask your dealer if there are any service bulletins about drilling vent holes in the prop. You can do it yourself with the locations they provide. At idle thexhaust aerates the water so it can free wheel but when under way it all goes straight out the hub. I've only done it on cupped props thoughBought my first boat last year, because of gas prices, I've been mainly putting in and trolling right from there. But, when I do want to get up and go, the boat ,a nitro 750sc with a merc 90 optimax, takes quite a while to get up on plane. I was wondering about putting on a hydrofoil.....any comments, suggestions, or straight out answers would be greatly appreciated.... thanks
