We are looking to do some fun fishing on Patoka Sunday for Bass. I'm not looking for spots or baits, just wondering some patterns to try for this time of year. Strictly C&R. Can someone give a brother a head start.
Thanks,
Mark

this time of year, I would try creek mouths and flats with grass beds on them. Fish probably chunking up before summer. topwater works great for me around the grass in low light times. Worms or lizzards work any other times. Bluegills might be off the hook also. I am heading up Sunday afternoon, sleeping in the boat and fishing monday morning. Need to do that to make it worth it. How do I roll- "$4 a gallon, that's how I roll"! When you come back, let me know how you did. I'm off work for the next month, Plannng on spending a gob off money and time up there in the next month. I'll let you know how my p and I did.
I'll PM you. We'll work something out offline. I've got some patterns and baits that have delivered for me in the past, but with the water up/clarity/conditions might switch me up. We'll see what we can scratch together. I've hooked some nice smallies up there...they're all big...I think.
Thank you for your post. I hope I figure just a couple things out to help you some.
sounds good. I'm leaving sometime around noon. Be back tomarrow afternoon. Maybe never! Lol
well we got up there sat afternoon. Drove through the storm. It stayed cloudy for the most part. Stayed in painters creek. Caught a good bundle on topwater and slowrollin spinnerbaits. Just kept throwin and picked on up here and there. All in all, it was a good afternoon.
