I think they really promoted the lake well and didn't mention any negatives.
Typical poor coverage, but for the masses I'm sure it was great.
Anyone else have thoughts?

Well I don't live close but I love fishing Ky and Barkley and I was really pleased with the way they promoted the lake. That day that Horton had didn't hurt anything as well. Wow. I love watching guys sweat out those landings on crankbaits.
I missed it...no espn 2...anybody tape it...would like to have seen it
I watched the "Brawl in the Bluegrass" on espn 2 this morning and I think KVD AND TIM HORTON showed the rest of the country that KY lake and Barkley are still two of the best lakes in the country
I watched it and really liked the show. I'm not sure what would make the show better since they only have an hour.
Showed Timmy Horton catching 2 at a time on a Crankbait, AGAIN. I have seen footage where he had done it twice on camera and they replayed footage where he has done it at least 3 times on camera. He is without a doubt my favorite in the Pro Catagory. Nice guy that seems to smile all the time and can flat out fish.
I think ESPN's coverage for Elite Series tournaments is excellent. With all of the on the water interviews and the TV maps and everything they give you alot of information. Don't know what else they could offer in such a short time. Zona's quotes get a little old sometimes (knock their lights out) but at least he is legitimately upbeat about the tournament. I watched FLW's a couple of times and wanted to like it as much, but didn't. The FLW coverage is a little too much all over the place.
Timmy Horton is one of my favorites as well. He has the best attitude of any of them while maintaining a solid competiveness. And man, can he put some huge catches in the boat. He is someone I would love to fish with for a few days.
I feel the same way about the FLW show. I will watch it if I'm searching for something to kill my time but that's about it. I'm not a fan of the stage show....JMO.I think ESPN's coverage for Elite Series tournaments is excellent. I really like Tim to Woody, he just seems like a regular guy any of us could pal around with.Showed Timmy Horton catching 2 at a time on a Crankbait, AGAIN. I guess I'm hard to please... I think both Espn and FLW are terrible the hosts on FLW should be seeling cars and neither shows enough commercials what I want is more commercials and Sponsors forget about fishin coverage more commercials.

Sounds like you need an 'Automatic Commercial Removal Machine (DVR). I can't live without it.
ESPN needs to show these guys.....Not just close up, but from a distance more. Now, I know that wouldn't work for the masses or great TV, but I'd like to see it so I could learn a little something.
Don't try to pimp your bait, rod, boat or whatever to me. Example: He's crankbaiting a ledge. Has he marked it with bouys? Where is he at in relation to the fish? What angle is he throwing at in relation to current or wind?
What I'm say'n boyz is I would like to feel like I'm at the event following these guys around. You want to occasionally zoom in and show me how they've tricked out a bait or put a different spin on a technique....great! All the close ups, fishing catching, glitz and glamour gets the masses not a guy who is passionate about his hobby.
ESPN....roll that and we'll smoke it my friend.
