I just started using the Seaguar 15lb. and really like it so far. I fished in wood, and rocks today on the river with no problems.
now thats funny right thereThat reminds me of a story on Taylorsville a few years back. I had thrown a lure into a tree and was trying to get it out when the rod broke. The guy I was fishing with was laughing his butt off. Then I said "What the heck are you laughing at, that was your rod". The laughing stopped. He forgot he gave me a loaner that day.![]()
I have used XPS Flourocarbon for a couple of years now and never have busted one off on the hookset. This includes my 6lb and 4lb test leaders on the fly and those that have fished with me know I don't hold anything back on any of my hooksets, no matter the test. Strictly use Palomar Knot on everything, including C Rigs and 3-way rig for the fly, always wet it well and have no problems. I do re-tie often, especially after a bigger fish and check my line regularly when fishing jigs and other bottom bouncing lures. Also used Seagar Invisix with good success but will never use Vanish, Vanish Transition or 100% Trilene Flourocarbon again due to bad results with all of these. Just my opinion
For the price of BPS Flouro you simply can't beat it. I have used it for 2 seasons now and have found very few problems. I use it on everything but topwater rods.I have used XPS Flourocarbon for a couple of years now and never have busted one off on the hookset.
