Does anyone know how to delete the line on the map side? I have so many lines from going to and from I can’t see the water lol. I looked in the manual but I can’t find anything on it. Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm not for sure on that one... I have yet to tackle that part yet. I'm not familiar with the entire system yet. There are SO MANY OPTIONS, it's hard to grasp it all so quickly.
Jdogg is right, hit the menu button twice, scroll down to "my trails", and then hit "delete all".
You can delete the trails buy going menu/menu/my trails/delete.
There is also an option you can choose that hides trails.
I use that feature on lakes where I dont need a trail to follow back out. It keeps my screen from getting cluttered up with trails that I will never use.
When fishing strange water or at night I leave the trail feature on so I have a referance to go buy on my way back to the ramp.
As for the way point question...I really dont know how to answer that one. Do you run the unit track up or north up? North up always has the map north up regardlees which direction the boat is moving. Track up will have the boat in the center of the screen and the map will rotate dierctions...you may be going south but on the screen the boat is heading towards the top of the map even though north is at the bottom of the screen...does that make sense or have I relly confused you LOL
Anyways...99.9% of the people run track up because the map is much easier to read when running around.
The Lowrance 522 has a ton of features that most people never use because they dont know how to use them or are afraid thet they will mess something up. One of the best ways to learn how to use the features is buy going to the Lowrance web site and downloading the simulator. FYI unlees they have updated thier site they do not have the 522 listed as a download for simulator. If they dont download the 332. The 332 334 520 and 522 have the same sonar and GPS features. The 520 and 522 are updated versions of the 332 and 334 the only differance is 520 and 522 are capable of running Nexrad Weather Radar(for a subcribtion fee)
After you download the simulator expirement with the settings to see what happens then if you dont like it just hit reset.
I had a guy with me one day that had a 520 just like mine...we were running down the lake and I had my unit in full map screen. He looked over and saw that the water depth and water tempature and time of day was displayed on my map screen and made the comment wow I wish my unit done that. I told him it did just go to overlay data...you can put just about any information you want on any screen. I went over to his house and spent about 30 minutes showing him how to make the unit display information on the screen that is not pre set from the factory.
There is a hidden feature that you will not read about in the owners manual...go to the full map screen the push exit exit exit real fast 3 times. If you done it correctly the screen will turn into a full page analog speedomoter. On the botton of the screen will be an analog odomoter that will tell you how many miles you have on the unit/boat. Of course the odomoter only records milage while the GPS unit is on. Hit exit one more time and the full map page will return...I have put a little over 600 miles on my unit so far.
Sorry for the long reply...I was on a roll LOL
