I am not an angel by anyones standards but if my friend was driving while drunk, I would have a serious problem with it. Forget the fishing, forget the tourney, how about the people he could have hurt or killed while driving 80mph, drunk, towing a boat with a flat? Man that dudes needs some serious help and if you are his friend you will help him. I wouldn't worry about fishing with him. You need to make sure that he does not drink and drive. Many families are torn apart everyday by people that choose to drive while drunk. Just think about your mom, wife, sister, daughter etc being hit and killed by a drunk driver???????

he said he quit drinking at 11pm but that is highly doubtful. he smelled like he just had a nip off the bottle as he pulled in. who knows. and yes, i agree. i do not condone drunk driving. it was just a miserable morning i hope i never encounter again.

    Re: A Drunk Partner..

I dont beleive there would be any second chances. The man knew you were fishing the next morning. He didnt have enough respect for you not to drink the night before and get a good nights sleep. Much less he didnt have enough respect for the other people on the road. I dont care if he is KVD! I would definetly find another partner. I have fished with some people that have ran a few minutes late. But if they were suppose to be there at 5am and they werent, they were calling me saying they are on there way. I can understand a man over sleeping, i would give him a second chance if that was the case. But not over sleeping because he had been out drinking all night. Not like he was going to be worth a darn anyhow. JMO
