    Re: Pleasure Boat Traffic

Let us not go to far,The tourney boats are as bad at time I know us crappie fishermen dont count cause this spring about 4 boats were between the wax bridge and the 1st curve, every Bass boat came through the bridge wide open, go down the lake for 10 min. and right back through!! This went on all morning and was a practice day, I would not want to be there on tour. day!

During the fishin.com tourney we spent alot of time in this same spot. Our tourney ended at 1:30. The other 2 tournaments ended at 1:00. That was a spookey time when all of the other anglers were coming in for their weigh in plus the pleasure boats. I saw 1 guy hit the bouey as he was coming through full throttle and several other come in way to fast upon slower traffic and cut their boats hard to keep from going over them. Can't just point the finger at the pleasure people. there are some dumbass fishermen/girls out there too. Common Sense is all I ask......

    Re: Pleasure Boat Traffic

If my only option is a big lake on a summer day, I'd just as soon stay home. I fought Old Hickory down in TN last weekend and it wore me out between the cabin cruisers, pontoons, jet skis, and river barges. We were flipping a dock and had a jet ski running 20 yards off the rear of the boat, going back and forth in 100 yard runs over and over and over and over again. The chick riding it was pretty hot, but I finally threw my arms up with a big "WHAT THE..." There is no common sense with some of them, but it carries over to some of the fishing rigs too.

That's why you're more apt to find me knee deep in a creek or draining my trolling battery on a small lake. I can catch just as many fish there anyway, so BUH-WEET SAY O-TAY BY ME!
