Oxygen level?

I was checking the oxygen level for T-ville and from 0 to 10 feet its 9 or 10 then drops to nothing below 10ft. I know bass can't tolerate levels below 5 so does this mean I'm wasting my time fishing deep on this lake? The themocline was definatley at 10 ft last time I fished according to the deptfinder.

It has been my experience at Taylorsville that during the hottest part of summer when the surface temp is above 80 that you won't catch many fish below about 12 feet so that goes along with your oxygen readings. If you are showing no oxygen then the fish will not be there. They would move until they feel comfortable. The fish at Taylorsville are probably stressed a lot during the summer. I would think that LM Bass would relate to the shade a little more that at some lakes.

It's been my experience that the less oxygen there is, the smaller the large mouth bass will typically be. Smaller fish don't need as much oxygen therefore they're most likely to be more active than the larger fish. As for me, I wish October would hurry up and get here.

P.S. - I don't ever consider fishing a waste of time...boat time is never a waste of time in my opinion. If you have the time you may as well give it a shot.

guys its been my experience at Tville to catch fish in the dead of summer in the mornings from 8-12 on shallow water flats. everyone fishes the thick timber, but in my experience they are in the shallower muddy areas. I dont know what that has to do with oxygen levels, but thats what Ive found.
