Your 2nd Amendment rights upheld (barely)

I agree. Having the right to own and bear arms also comes with responsibility.

I don't own a pistol ...yet. But with the way this country is going I may buy one someday soon. But that means it comes with a huge responsibility.

I would only shoot at somone if they started shooting at me first or they tried to break into my house. Then I would defend myself and make sure that when they fell down that it was inside my house.


Here in IN we can shoot someone that's breaking into our homes.

But we can't shoot the neighbors dog if it's pooping in our yard.

I wonder if we can shoot the dog if it's attack us? I would hope so.

I only have two dogs in the neighborhood that I am worried about and they are both owned by the local drug dealers. I just wish the State Police would put them in prision and lock them up for good instead of letting them back out after a few weeks in the pokey.

I'm a gun owner, and I myself dont think I could carry one all the time, sometimes a second of anger can cause serious consequences. If some turkey defending himself, shot one of mine, even by accident, I would personaly hold him responsible.The right to bear arms does not mean indiscriminate use of them.Protecting your self or a loved one, is justifiabe. Shooting someone across the street for stealing your gas is not!

For pooping dogs get a BB gun. That "trains" them pretty quick and doesn't really harm the dog. Eventually, just the sound of the BB gun's air with no BBs loaded will get them running. Don't ask me how I know this!!!

This goes for many topics but look at other countries who have banned guns. Britian still has gun crimes even though they have been banned for 80 years(the bad guys still have them) they still have major crimes and now knives are the weapon of choice for the recent killings. Their crime rate has climbed in leaps and bounds. Are they going to ban those knives next? Once you go down the road of Government controlling/telling you whats best for you it never ends.

Well, well! You and I "practice" the same type of animal control. I've also found that it moves cats away from my bird feeder.

I believe in the rights provided in the 2nd amendment, but I also believe we lost those rights a long, long time ago. What is the difference if we're still allowed to have a handgun, but the government has jets, rockets, tanks, nuclear bombs, etc.? Can a handgun or a rifle really protect us from a tyrannical government or potential invasion?

yes it can! An armed populace will find a way to defend itself. They just have to be carefull picking the targets.
