I know some of you could care less that I am in Alaska this summer. However I wanted to sit here as I start my first day in my Alaska Office and share some thoughts and notes.
The King Salmon Run (First of 2 runs) was a bit slow this year despite the Alaska Fish and wildlife predictions for the Kenai River. It may be because of the extra cold weather being experienced this year. (**** that global warming) and a 41 inch snowfall one of the largest ever on the Kenai.
Still and all the fishing has been excellent. As you have seen from my videos I have been able to get out and fish some, and to see some animals, mostly Moose and Eagles, but I did see my first Alaskan Brown Bears and my first Alaskan Black Bears this week in the wild near the Russian River while fishing for Sockeye.
I guess in a way I owe this trip to you visitors here at Fishin.com. Were I not employed working on the net it would not be possible for me to take a job like this and to do what I am doing. I will try to send some more pictures for those of you interested. If you have any requests, let me know.. and to explain, I did get an offer to purchase pictures of my "Gaff Girls" from a guy in Europe the other day.. I kindly told him I did not sell pictures from my videos or my videos.. and NO I DO NOT take that kind of picture any way guys... so no requests for Gaff Girls.
If you are interested in an Alaskan Fishin.com Trip let me know.
We have some openings in Late August for Silver Salmon and the Pink Salmon Run on the Kenai. Pluss you can Halibut fish too.. so call me or write to [email protected] if you are interested in an Affordable Fishing Trip to Alaska. www.FunnyMoose.com is the website for the lodge.
