See any snakes??

Put in yesterday morning with the wife and one of the dogs, Hannah a female Jack Russel Terrier who thinks she is a lab. Put in at pandora and ran towards paradise. Started her off fishing for gills and what ever and I picked up a Shakey head and just played around for awhile. The dog was getting so torn up every time we made a cast and she couldn't go in after it, was nerve racking at times. So we took a ride up into the river to check on some property and fished for gills around Kings and Gwinn. A bunch of little ones and she had a blast to say the least. Water temp was 79 to 82 up in the river with a little color to the river . I was amazed we had the lake to ourselves, also with how little of fuel the boat used. Put in with 3/4 tank and left with over a half still. Kept it between 48 and 52ish for the run and was surprised. I didn't get to do much fishing but it didn't matter at all. It was a fun day. And the dog finally got to do some swimming on the way back into pandora, she had fun to.
Marvin,
See any snakes??
Several around kings.. I've seen snakes on every trip this year for some reason...
I have seen anywhere from a few to many snakes each outing this year... No matter if I'm on a lake or flow. Is There any particular reasoning for this? Seems to be more so than in recent years.
I guess more snakes are out because it's an election year!![]()
Drought will bring them to the water,,,,
Billy
Cool report BanditMan. Gotta love those weekday opportunities to get out and not have "the crowd." I'd take my dog out with me, but I'm afraid I'd reach down, mistake him for a trailer, and thread him on a D&L Jig. The little rat...
Now that's funny right there...![]()
