Rob, I'd like to reiterate and re-emphasize what I said earlier about hospice. Many people have the idea that seeking hospice care is "giving up," but in truth, they can really help a lot. BigPoppy mentioned "the care hospice gave US." I'm capitalizing the "US" there because they're not just there to help keep the patient comfortable. They certainly will help with that, but, almost as important, they'll be there for you and your family during this very difficult time. If this option is open to you, I sincerely hope you'll pursue it, not just for your mom, but for you and your daughters.

Rob my family and I were with my mom when she had cancer and we stayed by her to the end. And I can tell you after your mother is gone you will not regret one minute of all the love and compassion that you give her. Death is a hard thing but it is something that we all will have to face soon enough. I have read some of the posting and it looks like there are a lot of prayers going up for your mother. Might be something you want to let her know, she will probably like that. God Bless
