If the trailer frame was cracked, then yes, the trailer MFG has got liability. Steel breaking is not supposed to happen. don't they guarantee their trailers? Was there a hole you hit or something really hard that could have done it? sounds like it could just have been a weak spot in the metal, very unusual.
