If we do have it up there I say we make it a daytime trip. You know that area the best so want do you think?
Chris, it shouldn't be a problem. There is a nice sand beach on the left side of the lower dam that could be the meeting place. You don't really get into problems with rocks until you go to the upper dam. As far as bait goes there are plenty of options the skips should be in pretty good soon and shad haven't been a problem...it's all about water level. When we decide when we all can meet I'll suggest a ramp, there are three close Louis and Clark is right there but it can be a pain if the core gets excited, then there;s the amphitheater next to Shermanmitton bridge and the 111 ramp.all are fairly close. I know there are several guy's here that know this area well enough to get to the area I'm talking about at the lower dam,Mhall, Fisheater, onemorecast, and I'm sure huricanebob have all been up there along with several others. If we all can pick a day we should be in for a good time...Chuck

Ok then you bunch of sink baits. It sound like we have some kind of fishing get togeither planed. First things first lets see what days work? Will we be night fishing? If so maybe we should start about 6pm or 7pm this would give time for collecting bait also for us guppies to get some what settled in before dark and get lay of the water. I'm thinking with hot weather most of you guys would soon go home to a/c during the day time versus having swamp balls while trying to sleep. After talking to Big Cat He said he would be back on the 15th. So he might want some time with his wife. River rat and my self work weekends. So the rest of you guys way in and lets see what works. I did check with Clarksville pd on camping on this stretch. I like the Ideal for some kind of jamboree but think it might better in Sept. cooler nights.

Sounds like there will be a few of us out there. I will let you guys work out the date since when Im home Im off everyday so as long as Im off the boat any day will work. I say we all meet at Greenwood that way the people that dont have a boat can also meet us there. if we do it at the beach how would they get there. If you plan on being here please let me know I need to know how much food and other items to bring. I quess we could all meet at Hooters for food As for the big fish pot what do you all say 5 bucks sound good or we could just do bragging rights. Talk to you all later

    Hey Peter,
Have not ever fished there, Cannelton I like it when they are running around 2-3 ft with 3-5 wickets open. The big blues seem to like a little current or alot sometimes it is just had to fish when they are running to much. I have caught fish in high numbers when they had 9 open at 5ft each. It was rough out there but we caught fish. Had to use 12oz sinkers to stay close to the bottom. I think it will be a good time. Hope to see you there

The 21-22 will work for me. Yes, Peter I make my own. I have molds from 1oz up to 12oz. I got the bigger ones from a guy that guided salt water. Dont have to brake them out very often.
