Wink Am I asking for trouble

Not many of guys use braid, and not many of you use ultra light tackle, but those of you who do, what do you think.Steallth has two new lines, 6/1, and 8 /1.5. Forget the first one, I could barely see the 8lb stuff. The 10/2 will give you problems with wind knots, wonder what is going to happen with the 8. Spooled up my reel, and casted a 1/16 jig half a block. I use a 7ft ulta lite rod,and am looking forward to casting these small jigs and rapalas, will let you know what happens.

I use braid with 8/1 15/4 20/6 50/12, for the most part all is power pro. The knots you get have to do with line twist, use a barrel swivel so the line wont twist as much. I do this with my garcias now my diawas I dont have much trouble at all, 98% of the time, and its do to the twist buster line reduction on them. I also use 10/2 hope this could help any, once you get the 8/1 relaxed I think you will really like it alot.

I love the 10/2,been using it for years, maybe will give that barrel swivel a try, noticed some of the baits thati throw, really spin. Thats why I dont like mono because of the twist memory.

    PowerPro 6/20 all the way...

I use it for just about everything and haven't really found a need to switch. Some guys like it, some guys don't...a lot of it is personal preference.

Re: Am I asking for trouble

I use 10/2 PowerPro on spinning gear, throwing 1/32-1/16oz jigs. Wind knots can be a problem ... but, are most likely to occur if you "snap cast" (fast, wrist type of cast). If you cast overhand or sidearm, try casting with more of a smoother action ... or lob ... to your cast.
Lures will spin, light jigs especially, when cast ... so you may ocasionally have to remove the lure and drag the empty line behind the boat (idle speed areas are good places for this) to remove some of the twist. (I do the same for mono !!)
