I was a little confused when reading some reports on this lake. Some say there is smallies in it and some say there isnt. Anyway i went there last weekend and saw a million threadfins towards the back of the creeks but could only get on a couple bass, does anyone have any ideas on what i should look for this time of year?

No smallies in Beshears Lake. Lake is best fished at night this time of year. Plenty of brush piles to probe with jigs and tubes. Spinner baits around the standing timber in the bay left of the island early and late. Prime spots get a ton of pressure so look around with your graph and find the planted cover and make mutiple casts to what you find.
No smallies in that darn lake. It fricking suuuuuucks. Enjoy.
I have fished Lake Beashear quite a bit, have real god luck this time of year with medium running crankbaits and brushounds. I have never seen any or never heard of anyone catching a smallmouth in Lake Beashear. There is a four hour open tournament (6 p.m.to10 p.m.) every Thursday night, a good group of guys that would be willing to give you some advice.
