    Dale Hollow lake

    Hi, I going to Dale Hollow lake this weekend. Gonna rent a small fishing boat. Anyone got any idea on which marina has best deal and best fishing spots close to it. We've never been there so any info is welcome.

    Heard the walleye are biteing?
    Usally we stay close to home and go to Elmer Davis for bluegill but in the mood for a trip. My hubby is from Wisconsin and loves fishing for the walleye in winabago, but not sure how they fish for them down here since the weather is so different. Any tips?

    Not sure where your coming from, but Wisdom Dock is nice and close to good walleye fishing. I mostly see people trolling for them near the bluff walls just outside of Wisdom area. Good Luck and enjoy your trip

    I'm thinking we will go down south65 from louisville into bowling green and then east. unless we are in the mood for a scenic drive and drive straight south out of frankfort.
    Wisdom dock is one im looking at, the jon boat rentals are 24hr rentals. and prices seem right.
    With a lake that big it helps to know ahead of time were the fish are
    Thanks

    Clara;
    Unless you are going to Bowling Green for another reason, that is out of your way to Dale Hollow. Take exit 53 (Cave City) then go hwy 90 east to Glasgow, then on to Burkesville on the same rd. Once you get to Burkesville you are near most docks on the west side of the Lake. Sulphur Cr, Hendricks Cr., Holly Cr., Dale Hollow Dock, Cedar Hill dock, are all just off hwy 61 from Burkesville and they all have rental boats.
    Good luck with your fishing.

    i was so disapointed, we wanted to stay at the cabin at wisdom dock but their web site says they on rent the lakeside cabins weekly from june to aug. we only wanted the weekend.
    so we still looking at other docks wherever the walleye hang out at,

    If anyone lives near Dale Hollow, do you know if there is any primitive camping alowed in the area or is camping only in the campgrounds. some state parks do just wondering if this one does.

    You may want to try Wolf River Resort. They rent boats, they have primitive, water/electric camping (or they did a few years ago), they also have a motel @ 45 a night and a restaurant - nice place - 800-922-2459 or www.wolf-river.com Oh yea, there is walleye there as well. You'll love the place
