If it helps any,
I go out of Settlers Trace, straight out, then to the right toward the dam, and up on the hump. I go off the end of the hump on the dam side. I fish night crawlers on big bobbers, running the baits slipped down to 8 foot. I hang 2 down rods off the bow with one at 10 foot and another at 12 foot. I drift around out there, playing in water as short as 13 foot to up to 20 foot. Also while that's going on, I'll bobber fish shallow for the occassional small gill that can become a live down rod bait. I fish this way from sundown all night till sun up, and usually do pretty good. While doing this, with rods set as above, I make short jaunts off the back of the hump, toward the rock walls on the far side and inch in till the down rods are almost on the bottom. Works pretty good, saves a bunch of gas cause its so close to the ramp, and ya can actually, after ramping in, do the whole trip on trolling motor if ya want to.
