I became a dad for the first time last July. Last July 3rd, Grayson was born three months early weighing 1 pound 6 oz. Born with very premature lungs and lived on the vent for 8 weeks. Heart surgery at two weeks. He was a very sick little boy. Stayed in the hospital for three very rocky months and gave his mother and I lots of scares. (miracle boy) Now he is 1 and very healthy and active. Cant wait to take him fishing for the time. So eager that my mother in law made a bass costume for him last holloween. (5 pounder) Really no reason for this post other than to brag on my little buddy and to tell everyone how jacked up I am to take him for the first time. As soon as he can hold a pole, were going to hit the farm pond. The big lakes will have to wait awhile.
I'll try to post pictures of him at halloween if anyone cares to se them. Its pretty cool. And, I will sell the pattern she made if anyone is interested. LOL

Congrats on becoming a father. I'm happy to hear your son is doing fine. I became a dad 3 years ago and already miss watching my girl trying to roll over, crawl and those first unsteady steps. Don't blink time goes by so fast. Took my girl fishing for the first time last year at farm pond, 2 boys their dad and myself and what do you know? She caught the biggest bluegill of the bunch. Get ready for some awesome times.

Congratulation on the miracle baby I have friends whose grandbaby has had three heart surgeries in about 6 months it is amazing how tough they can be and it is a miracle what the Dr. can do today. One reason health insurance is expensive but sure worth every penny.

Congrats on the son. Tell him HAPPY BIRTHDAY from the bandit1 family. I have 2 sons of my own, & it is awesome. My 8 year old is all about hunting & fishing, he absolutely loves it. My 12 year old is all about the _____ video games. (Fill in the blank with any word you wish). I agree that the first fishing trip with him & he catches that first fish is unforgetable. Just like Kenny Chesney says "Don't Blink" cause he will be grown before you know it.

My 2 1/2 year old boy is finally getting the hang of fishing, I hook'em he reels'em in, I unhook'em, he lips'em shows'em off and puts them back in the water, repeat. first trip on the water last year was not much fun though, all he wanted to do was throw things in the water, not things that float either. my boy's name is Grayson too. congrats on yours

Glad all is well, and like said before enjoy them now they grow so fast. I've got two girls 8 and 13 both love the out doors like there daddy and are buggin me to take them to 18 mile island today so they can try to throw my throw net again so guess what I'm doin today....I can honestly say I didn't know what love was till my baby's where born. way to , Chuck

I wanna see a picture of the costume. Surpised nobody mentioned that.
My son who is 20 now, we started a tradition since he was 8 of going to Ky Lake for school spring break. Man, was it something. Put a red crankbait on their pole and let em sling it. We went every year until he started college. Now spring break is in early March, not the best a weather at that time
