Hopefully this will mean they will stock their shelves! I have never seen a store with that many bare shelves. You cant rely on them to carry any of the baits that you want.

went over there today 2 of my sons won hats, the oldest boy won a daiwa baitcaster reel, and my middle boy won a crankbait. It was a good time.

Took my son and daughter over this morning and was not that impressed. The Berkley truck we just ok for me and maybe I was just expecting too much. Don't think there was any fish in the Catfish Pool for my boy stood there for 20 minutes with not even a nibble. We did go into the store and look around and like the other guy said too many empty shelves. Went looking to see what big spinnerbaits they had and all I saw was empty peghooks everywhere. Not good business to be out of anything but especially not good to be out of "Seasonal" items, those that people use the most during specific times of the years.
Yeah, they have some ordering issues. From what I understand, it's one of those "corporate does the ordering" deals though, so I guess you can't really blame the folks here in the store. There are some empty pegs. I like the store and have met some nice folks that work there though. Ked is a nice guy...Kyle is a nice guy...both good fishermen. I'll shop there, but won't forget about the boys at Backwaters anytime soon either. It's nice to have both.
Yep Backwaters is my favorite hands down. Good people, local ownership and great products, that combo can't be beat. Kinda like the old barborshop it's great just to stop by and chit chat.....I usually buy something as well.Yeah, they have some ordering issues. I agree with the Backwaters comment. Kinda like walking in to Cheers!
Those dudes didn't even have the bait for thr kids at the Catfish Tank,,,, Elwood's right. I got the right at 10am... Nio bait, but beadhead flies and gULP
pieces for bait......
AGAIN....
You guys don't know how lucky you got it. Having 2 stores so close to each other. Since I moved to South Carolina I don't have the luxury of hanging out at Backwaters or visiting SW. You would not believe the lack of quality tackle down here. You would think that with Santee Cooper being so close that it not be so hard to find a tackle shop.Yeah, they have some ordering issues. Appreciate what you have and take care of your locals as well as you corporate stores cause it ain't that easy everywhere else.
My money goes to Backwaters cause a freindly face and a handshake means alot these days.

I agree with the earlier coments. Backwaters almost always has what you need. If I am in a pinch I wont hesitate to go there over SW.
Just a quick post to say Anglers Outpost and Marine in Nicholasville is another great shop. Customer service has been brought back by Wes and Aj to mention Mr. Good wrench as well. They got alot of what I need and feel like a part of the store. Give them a look if your down this way.
