Furthermore, it's really just tied to your SSN or Driver's license so you can pretty much give them those numbers if stopped and they can verify you have a license.
Yeah, I know...I lost it on a Sunday and had a fishing trip planned Monday night. You can fill out a form deal and sent it to Frankfort to replace a lost license for 10 bucks I think. I just bought a new one...it was easier.
